Bravely standing at the forefront of the tide through concrete efforts

Zhejiang, known as a land of plenty, takes pride in its diligent, wise people and has fostered the unique spirit of Zhejiang businesspeople and the splendid maritime culture. In this new era, Zhejiang has always stood at the forefront of the tide through hard work. Adhering to the goal of high-quality development, it continues promoting industrial transformation and upgrading, advancing innovation-driven development, and building a global advanced manufacturing base and a digital economy highland.

Core industries of the digital economy and the manufacturing industry in the province increased by 8.3% year on year, and the high-tech industry grew by 7%.

The added value of strategic emerging industries increased by 6.3%. 

The coverage rate of digital transformation of industrial enterprises above the designated size exceeded 75%.

The first national laboratory in the province was put into operation.

Nine new national key laboratories were added.

Three scientists became academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

Zhejiang’s regional innovation ability ranked fourth in the country. 

Zhejiang actively participates in the BRI. 

It took the lead in implementing the promotion action of the pilot free trade zones.

It has successfully held major events such as the Wuzhen Summit of the World Internet Conference, the Global Digital Trade Expo, and the China-CEEC Expo.

It successfully completed the tasks for hosting the Hangzhou Asian Games and the Asian Para Games. 

Zhejiang launched the projects to build a world-class port and a province with a strong transportation network. 

The development index of Ningbo Zhoushan International Shipping Center in the province increased to the 9th place in the world. 

A total of 2,380 freight trains operated on the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe route, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%. 

Zhejiang implemented the “seven preferential public services” program, and completed 31,569 projects concerning people’s livelihood of 56 categories in ten aspects including education assistance, health care, elder care, poverty alleviation, and employment and entrepreneurship.
