Maintain World Peace and Stability

In his keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2022, Chinese President Xi Jinping first put forward the Global Security Initiative. China is a major force for safeguarding world peace and development. In the face of the turbulent international landscape and the escalating changes unseen in a century, China continues to provide solutions to address challenges on international security, demonstrating its sense of responsibility as a major country.  

習近平主席在博鰲亞洲論壇2022年年會開幕式上首次提出全球安全倡議。當今世界，和平與發展仍然是時代主題，但國際安全形勢面臨的不穩定性不確定性顯著上升。中國是維護世界和平與發展的重要力量，面對動蕩不安的國際局勢和加速演進的百年變局，不斷為應對國際安全挑戰提供中國方案，彰顯了大國擔當。

"Stability brings a country prosperity while instability may well plunge it into poverty.” Security underpins development. Humanity is a community of indivisible security. A Cold War mindset can only disrupt the global peace framework, hegemonism and power politics can only endanger world peace, and confrontation between blocs can only exacerbate threats to security in the 21st century. All this has been proved time and again.

“治國常富，而亂國常貧。”安全是發展的前提，人類是不可分割的安全共同體。事實再次證明，冷戰思維只會破壞全球和平框架，霸權主義和強權政治只會危害世界和平，集團對抗只會加劇21世紀安全挑戰。
