Usher in a New Era for China-CELAC Relations

Since the start of the 21st century, China and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States(CELAC)  economic and trade cooperation has witnessed rapid development. Especially after the 18th CPC National Congress, China-CELAC relations saw unprecedented leapfrog development and realized a series of fruitful achievements. Since 2017, many CELAC countries have joined the China-proposed the Belt and Road Initiative, upgrading the cooperation between China and CELAC members while promoting the building of the China-CELAC community with a shared future.

進入21世紀後中拉經貿合作持續快速推進，尤其是黨的十八大以來，中拉關係實現了前所未有的跨越式發展，取得了一系列豐碩成果。2017年以來，中國提出的“一帶一路”倡議吸引了許多拉美國家加入，推動著中拉合作不斷提質升級同時也推動著中拉命運共同體走向深入。

History tells us that peaceful development, fairness and justice, and win-win cooperation are the right way forward for humanity. As developing countries, China and CELAC members are partners in all-round cooperation based on equality, mutual benefit, and shared development. Our shared dream of maintaining independence, pursuing development, and achieving revitalization has brought us together. Let us draw up a blueprint for growing China-CELAC relations, add momentum to our cooperation, and make a new contribution to the wellbeing of our peoples and the cause of human progress.
