《習近平談治國理政》第三卷生動記錄了黨的十九大以來習近平總書記在領導推進新時代治國理政實踐中發表的一系列重要論述，全面系統反映了習近平新時代中國特色社會主義思想，集中展示了馬克思主義中國化的最新成果。關於推動共建“一帶一路”，總書記這樣説：

The third volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China vividly records a series of important statements and speeches made by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, based on his experiences in state governance in the new era since the 19th CPC National Congress in 2017. It fully and systematically reflects Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and demonstrates the latest achievements in the Sinicization of Marxism. As for the Belt and Road Initiative, General Secretary Xi said: 

經濟全球化是歷史潮流。

Economic globalization represents the trend of history, 

長江、尼羅河、亞馬孫河、多瑙河

It is just like the world's great rivers, the Yangtze, the Nile, the Amazon an the Danube: 

晝夜不息、奔騰向前，

They all surge forward in great torrents, 

儘管會出現一些回頭浪，儘管會遇到很多險灘暗礁，但大江大河奔騰向前的勢頭是誰也阻擋不了的。

and nothing can stop their mighty flow, not the current of undertows or hidden shoals or rocks beneath the water.

世界經濟發展面臨的難題，沒有哪一個國家能獨自解決。

None of the problems confronting the world economy can be resolved by one country alone. 

各國應該堅持人類優先的理念，

We must all put the common good of humanity first. 

而不應把一己之利淩駕於人類利益之上。

No country should place its own interests above the common interests of all.

我們要以更加開放的心態和舉措，共同把全球市場的蛋糕做大、

We must be more open-minded and take more effective measures, and work together to make the global market bigger. 

把全球共用的機制做實、把全球合作的方式做活，

We need to strengthen the mechanisms for sharing benefits with all, and explore new forms of international cooperation. 

共同把經濟全球化動力搞得越大越好、阻力搞得越小越好。

The goal is to create more impetus for economic globalization and remove as many impediments as we can.

站在新的歷史起點，中國開放的大門只會越開越大。

China, which has reached a new historic starting point, will open its door wider to the world. 

中國共産黨剛剛舉行了十九屆四中全會，

The Communist Party of China has just concluded the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee.

制定了關於堅持和完善中國特色社會主義制度、推進國家治理體系和治理能力現代化若干重大問題的決定，

A decision has been made to uphold and improve the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and modernize the country's system and capacity for governance.

其中包括很多深化改革、擴大開放的重要舉措。

Many significant measures have been announced to extend reform and opening up. 

我們將堅持對外開放的基本國策，

China will stay true to its fundamental state policy of opening up and carry out reform,

堅持以開放促改革、促發展、促創新，

development and innovation through opening up.

持續推進更高水準的對外開放。

This will raise opening up to an even higher level.

目前，中國已經同137個國家和30個國際組織簽署197份共建“一帶一路”合作文件。

China has now signed 197 documents on belt and Road cooperation with 137 countries and 30 international organizations.

中國將秉持共商共建共用原則，

China will Follow the principles of extensive consultation,

堅持開放、綠色、廉潔理念，努力實現高標準、惠民生、可持續目標，

joint contribution and shared benefits, pursue open, green and clean cooperation, 

推動共建“一帶一路”高品質發展。

and ensure high quality Belt and Road cooperation that is high-standard, people-centered and sustainable.

面向未來，中國將堅持新發展理念，

Looking forward, China will pursue a new development philosophy

繼續實施創新驅動發展戰略，

and the strategy of innovation-driven development. 

著力培育和壯大新動能，不斷推動轉方式、調結構、增動力，

We will redouble efforts to foster new growth drivers and create new growth momentum by shifting the growth model and improving the economic structure.

推動經濟高品質發展，

We believe such efforts will bring high-quality development opportunities

為世界經濟增長帶來新的更多機遇。

not only to China but to the whole of the global economy.
