費薩爾·穆罕默德于2014年10月26日被阿卜杜拉·亞明·加堯姆總統任命為馬爾地夫駐華大使。這是他第一次出任駐外大使，此前曾任外交部部長助理。費薩爾·穆罕默德先生於1992年加入總統辦公室，2003年曾任總統辦公室副主任，2006年任辦公室主任。在任職于總統辦公室期間，費薩爾大使曾服務於外交關係處、環境處、政策處和內閣秘書處。2008年離開總統辦公室後，費薩爾大使繼續其學業，並於2012年加入馬爾地夫駐聯合國辦事處，任常駐協調辦公室主任，此後任職兩年直到2014年。

Faisal was appointed as Maldives Ambassador to China by President Gayoom in 2014. Before that, he served a short period as Additional Secretary at the Foreign Ministry. He joined the President’s Office in 1992. In 2003 he was promoted to Assistant Director and in 2006 appointed as Director General. He served in the Foreign Relations section, Environment section, Policy division and Cabinet Secretariat. He joined the Maldives office of the United Nations as the Head of the Resident Coordinator’s Office in 2012.
