On May 8, the Queen Rania Foundation of Jordan announced in Amman that the Foundation received the first donation from Chinese entrepreneurs.
This $3 million donation came from the Ma Yun Public Charity Foundation, a non-public funded foundation funded by Chinese entrepreneur Ma Yun. It aims to establish a joint education project with Jordan to support the Queen’s Foundation’s ongoing program for teacher and women’s training and to invest in an Internet platform to allow more Arab children to attend classes online and to help refugee children in Jordan to receive educational opportunities.

According to reports, after visiting Israel, Ma Yun went to Jordan and spent a week communicating with local entrepreneurs and learning about historical cultural evolution, technology and education development in the Middle East. Ma Yun believes that education is the key to the development of the Middle East, and Jordan has made many efforts.
