Wuguilou Building is located in Xuetang Lane, Liangnong Town, Ningbo City. Built in the 12th year of Jiaqing , Qing dynasty(1807), it is a library building of Huang Cheng liang. It has more than 50,000 volumes of books, and it is also known as "the second biggest collection of books in eastern Zhejiang." Huang had five brothers in the previous generation and they were all pass the Imperial Examination. Therefore, the building was called Wuguilou(five winners). The building covers an area of 107 square meters, with doors facing south, and has three two-story buildings with a total width of 10.30 meters. The roof are hooked and are in a shape of a Chinese character "眾", which can protect the room dry from rains. There is also a wall lying behind the building to prevent winds and fires. And a courtyard in front of the building, with 8.6 meters deep. It is safely surrounded by high walls. The architectural blueprint of the Wuguilou Building is detailed on a long bamboo pole that is fixed in the roof.

　　Wuguilou Building has a wall to prevent winds and fires. There is a four-meter-high wall at the front and back, and there are gates on the east and west sides of the wall and the main entrance is on the west side. Into the door is a courtyard made of pebbles, decorated with stone and wood carvings, flowers and bamboo trees to make the courtyard green, sweet-smelling. It looks fresh, quiet, simple and elegant.

　　Downstairs is the separation between the three buildings. The front hall is for learning and Society, the back hall is the stairs, there are 24 bookcases on the upper floors, with more than 50,000 volumes of ancient books, famous paintings and manuscripts, and nearly a hundred wooden carved panels. The roof was in the shape of "眾" , there are dark cabinets, which seems only has two floors, but actually three.

　　It is said that, in the event of wars, the rare books were hidden on the dark cabinets. There still retains one bamboo column, measuring 9.8 meters long. The bamboo baskets record the various dimensions of the building and the beam structure, pieces of symbols, like a modern architectural drawing.

　　Wuguilou is a three-room, two-story, eucalyptus-wood structure that faces south. The building is 10.3 meters wide, with a depth of 10.38 meters, a biggest room width of 4.3 meters, a second biggest room width of 3 meters and a height of 9.96 meters. The beam structure combining the bucket and the lift beam to form a shape of "眾" on the roof, and the intermediate dark cabinet was used for heat insulation and leak prevention, which facilitates the storage of books.

　　Wuguilou Building has a relatively strict and unique collection system for keeping books. Therefore, it has a large collection of books, which is only smaller than Ningbo Tianyi Pavilion in eastern Zhejiang, and it is also known as "the second collection building of books in eastern Zhejiang."
