Yushan Ancient Tea Factory is located at the foot of Chachang Mountain in Matang Village, Yushan Town, Pan'an County, Zhejiang Province. It is currently one of the two national key cultural relics protection units in Pan'an County. The existing buildings were funded and built during the Emperor Qianlong period in Qing dynasty and were divided into three parts: the Chachang Temple, the management house, and the tea plantation. The construction area was 1509.57 square meters. According to records, the tea plantation was founded in the Song Dynasty, and the “Wuzhou Dongbai” produced here was classified as a tribute in the Tang Dynasty. The management house among the existing buildings still retains the stone tablets of Qing dynasty, such as the stone writes“Abiding the foreign price of Baishu and food”. The existing buildings are in good condition.
Everywhere in the ancient Yushan Tea Plantation is telling people about the long long history. It is also these ancient things that have been gone through times again and again, so that they have accumulated a profound history and culture, and have shined brightly. More and more people are fascinated. Pan'an county also discovers the tremendous power brought about by culture and is actively developing the cultural connotation of Yushan Ancient Tea Plantation. Through a series of measures such as planning, protection, development, and guidance, it has truly improved the entire “patina” taste of ancient tea farms. The deputy governor Mao Linsheng was invited to visit the ancient tea plantation. Zhao Rentong, chief editor of the "Building Times", and construction planner Hong Tiecheng were also invited to make detailed investigations to the ancient tea plantations. They all gave their own valuable suggestions on how to develop the ancient tea plantation in Yushan. The development of the ancient Yushan Tea Plantation will add a strong historical and cultural content to this small but exquisite city that is full of mountains and rivers, and greatly enhance the historical and cultural connotation of Pan'an county.
This tea plantation site, which combines tea production, trade and tea culture, is unique in the country. The preservation of the ancient tea plantation in Yushan is of great significance for the study of the historical inheritance of tea production and for the further exploration of tea cultural connotation and for the study of ancient socio-economic development. Pan'an will fully tap in the tea culture, and strive to crack down on the cultural brand of ancient tea plantations in Yushan, which will make the magical scenery and culture out of the obscurity, and become a living destination in the central part of Zhejiang province, and finally become a wonderful constructor in the domestic travel industry.
