Hundred houses building located in the two sides of Hundred building River, which in the east of Nanxun ancient town in the Nanxun District, Huzhou City. It is the most complete preserved and traditional community along the river. It has a total length of more than 400 meters and has a history of more than 400 years.  Hundred houses building built in the northwest side of the town, and along the river east and west sides veteran. According to legend, the dean of Ming Dynasty’s Rite Ministry Dongfen built for his family's home Numu servant. At the beginning of the construction, there are about hundreds of buildings, so it is called "Hundred building", and this name has been preserved to the present.

The whole street house is connected, and the side wall is connected. Its characteristic is made according to the river floor, Dayton meandering winding stone bridge connected with. The building is the traditional form of arcade style which is black tiles and white wall, The Strip is composed of the volume of portal lightweight.

Houses are made of gable towering, some made to cloud; some made to Avalokitesvara pocket type and also have made three fold vest wall type, the level of scattered, since the walls and black tiles. Under the River Street house the stem and black tiles, building window and house has bottom eaves, and a layer of black tiles, and Gui wall river corridor and lightweight,  the water home houses with narrow aura.

A house is the most concentrated on the Eastern Bank of the Lotus Bridge to Long bridge, housing more orderly, thick Ariza with banks. The white walls and black tiles, along the corridor, river port, tracery wall, rolling door and corridor, the river flows and ships exchanges, to show the unique a typical south place of Yangtze River of scenery.

The river’s west side was bombed by Japanese Army Aircraft in 40s. It was badly damaged, and it was still inferior to the past. The river was originally a canal, and supplies of Huzhou and Wuzhen, Suzhou and Nanxun were shipped out of the river. Construction of walls built in Yuan Dynasty, a moat along the river, mostly for goods money, shop, built along the neat stone revetment, the hippo everywhere, so the ship docked, the loading and unloading of goods. The river is The Strip, too many houses along the street to the back of the shop before. Large households are home from three to four, and the average family is a two house for a well.
