太湖源位於杭州臨安東天目山南麓。其間海拔1271米的主峰馬尖崗，是養育了江浙滬千百萬生命的太湖源頭。太湖源因此得名，其周圍的幾千個鄉鎮也是因 太湖源風景區 的開發而統一更名為 太湖源鎮 。她地理位置優越，距杭僅65公里，橫跨三市一縣，背靠亞洲最大的蓄能電站天荒坪，座擁天目山、錢王陵、青山湖等風景勝地，可與杭州、湖州、安吉等兄弟景區組成理想的黃金旅遊環線，是旅遊、度假、休閒、療養的絕佳去處。

Taihu Lake is located at the south foot of East Tianmu Moutains in Hangzhou Lin’an. The main peak Majian gang at an altitude of 1271 meters, is the source of the Taihu Lake that raised millions of lives in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. Taihu Lake got the name，and thousands of towns around the Lake also has been renamed Taihu town because of the development of Taihu scenic area. Only 65 km from Hangzhou, across three city and a county, on the back of the largest energy storage power station in Asia, surrounded by Tianmu Mountain, Qianwang Ling, Qingshan Lake and other scenic spots, it can form the ideal golden tour circle with Hangzhou, Huzhou, Anji and other scenic spots. With superior geographical position, it becomes the great place for tourism, vacation, leisure and recuperation.

　　太湖源有很多別稱美譽，如 小九寨溝 、 猢猻溝 、 龍須溝 、 生態溝 、 龍須峽谷 等，之所以會有這麼多名稱，是因為太湖源具有獨特的風光資源。

Because of the unique scenery resources, Taihu Lake has many nicknames, such as Xiaozhai gully, Husun gully, Longxu gully, Shengtai gully, Longxu canyon and so on.

Taihu Lake is typical in the Jiangnan scenery. It’s delicate, tender and beautiful, just like Jiangnan beauty.
