龍泉市，是浙江省麗水市代管縣級市，位於浙江省西南部的浙閩贛邊境，地理坐標北緯27°42'～28°20'，東經118°42'～119°25'，東鄰溫州經濟技術開發區，西接武夷山國家級風景旅遊區，是浙江省入江西、福建的主要通道，素有“甌婺八閩通衢”、“譯馬要道，商旅咽喉”之稱，歷來為浙、閩、贛毗鄰地區商貿重鎮。

　　龍泉市東西寬70.25公里，南北長70.80公里，總面積3059平方公里，人口28.93萬人（2013年末）；下轄8鎮7鄉4個街道444個行政村12個社區。

　　龍泉自古人文昌盛，不僅是著名的青瓷之都、寶劍之邦，而且還是世界香菇栽培發源地、中華靈芝第一鄉；全市森林覆蓋率84.2%，是國家級生態示範區、國家森林城市、浙江省生態市和浙江省園林城市，被譽為“處州十縣好龍泉”。[1-4]2017年6月，龍泉市被命名國家衛生城市。2017年7月，龍泉市被列為國家歷史文化名城。
