普陀山，與山西五台山、四川峨眉山、安徽九華山並稱為中國佛教四大名山，是觀世音菩薩教化眾生的道場。普陀山雄峙于浙江杭州灣以東蓮花洋，地球上最神秘的北緯30度緯線穿過島嶼中部，我國東部長三角旅遊帶樞紐，是中國佛教四大名山之一，也是我國唯一以海島自然風光和宗教歷史文化兼勝的國家首批重點風景名勝區、全國首批5A級景區、全球優秀生態旅遊景區，素以“海天佛國、南海觀音道場”聞名於世。根據國務院批准的《普陀山風景名勝區總體規劃》，普陀山景區由普陀山、豁沙山、洛迦山島和朱家尖島東部組成，總面積41.95平方公里，核心景區普陀山島面積12.5平方公里。

Mount Putuo is the Ashram of Guan Yin Bodhisattva to preach to all sentient beings. Mount Putuo lies imposingly in Lotus Sea, east of Hangzhou Bay in Zhejiang province, the most mysterious latitude of the earth, latitude 30 degrees, passes through the middle of the island, located in the eastern part of Yangtze River Delta Tourism Belt hub. It is one of the four famous mountains of Buddhism in China. It is also the only one of the first batch of national key scenic spots in China with the island natural scenery and culture of religious history, the first batch of 5A class scenic spots, global excellent ecological tourism scenic spot, known as "Buddhist Fairyland on the Sea, and Ashram of Nanhai Guanyin". According to the Master plan of Mount Putuo Scenic Area, approved by The State Council, the Mount Putuo Scenic Area consists of Mount Putu, Mount Gowan, Luo Gaoshan Island and the eastern part of Zhu Jiajian Island, with a total area of 41.95 square kilometers, the core area of Mount Putuo is 12.5 square kilometers.

　　普陀山是全國最著名的觀音道場，佛教聖地，寺院無論大小， 都供奉觀音大士。可以説是“觀音之鄉”了。每逢農曆二月十九、六月十九、九月十九分別是觀音菩薩誕辰、出家、得道三大香會期，全山人山人海，寺院香煙繚繞，一派海天佛國景象。

Mount Putuo is one of the most famous Guan Yin Taoist Rites in the country, and Buddhist holy site, no matter the size of the temple, are dedicated to Guan Yin. It's called "the hometown of Guan Yin". Lunar February 19th, lunar June 19th, lunar September 19th respectively is Guan Yin Bodhisattva's birthday, being a nun, enlightenment, the three incense fair period.
