中國網浪潮資訊 浙江大學農業與生物技術學院教授張國平參與的破解大麥基因組的研究成果,近日登上了英國《Nature》的封面文章。
CNCAO NEWS Zhang Guoping, a professor of college of agronomy and biotechnology in Zhejiang University, participated in decoding Barley genome. The research results of it became the cover paper of British Nature.
文章稱,浙江大學張國平團隊與澳大利亞李承道團隊共同對大麥麥芽品質相關基因進行了深入分析,明確了大麥麥芽品質相關基因的結構變異,為高品質大麥育種指明瞭方向。這項工作對大麥種質資源利用及相關基因的克隆和鑒定工作都具有重要意義。
According to the article, Zhang Guoping’ s team of Zhejiang University with Li Chengdao’ s team of Australia made a deep analysis about genes related to the quality of barley malt. They confirmed structural variation of the genes related to the quality of barley malt and pointed the way to breed high quality barley. The work has great significance for barley resources utilization, cloning and identification of related genes.

大麥是全球第四大禾穀類作物,被人類馴化了已經有一萬年。它既是糧食和飼料,也是生産啤酒的重要原料。
Barley is the number four cereal crops of the world, and has been acclimatized by human for ten thousand years. It is food and fodder, and also an important raw material of beer production.

破解大麥基因組極其困難,國際大麥測序聯盟(IBSC)耗費了近10年時間,組裝完成一個包含4.79Gb的大麥高品質參考基因組序列。
It is very hard to decode Barley genome. IBSC spent nearly 10 years assembling a high quality reference genomic sequence of barley which was 4.79Gb.
