會稽山，亦稱茅山、畝山，位於紹興市區東南部，距市中心約6公里，佔地5平方公里。跨越柯橋區、越城區、諸暨市、新昌縣、嵊州市、上虞區等地，主峰在嵊州市西北。

　　Kuaiji Mountain，also known as Mao Mountain , Mu Mountain, located in the southeast of Shaoxing, about 6 kilometers from the city center, covers an area of 5 square kilometers. It crosses the Keqiao District, Yue Cheng District, Zhuji, Xinchang County, Shengzhou, Shangyu District and so on. The main peak is in the northwest of Shengzhou.

　　會稽山與中國古代開國聖君、治水英雄大禹有著不解的淵源，它是大禹娶妻、封禪的地方，同時也是大禹的陵寢所在地。 景區內有大禹陵，爐峰禪寺等名勝古跡，最高峰為香爐峰。會稽山下的若那溪，水清如鏡，眾山倒影，如詩如畫。

　　Kuaiji Mountain has profound origin with Da Yu, Chinese ancient founding monarch, water-control hero. It is the place where Da Yu married and ascended the throne, and it is also the seat of mausoleum of Da Yu. There are famous historic and cultural sites like Da Yu mausoleum, Lufeng Temple and so on in the scenic spot, and the highest peak is Xianglu Peak. Ruona Stream under the Kuaiji Mountain, is clear as a mirror, and the reflection of the mountains is picturesque.

　　會稽山文化積澱深厚。 晉朝顧愷説會稽山水是“千岩竟秀，萬壑爭流，草木蒙籠其上，若雲興霞蔚”。東晉名士王羲之、謝安等都因“會稽有佳山水”而定居紹興。南朝詩人王藉咏會稽山的詩句“蟬噪林逾靜，鳥鳴山更幽”傳誦千古。在中國隋代，會稽山還被列入中國的“四鎮”之一。

　　Cultural accumulation of Kuaiji Mountain is profound. Gu Kai from Jin dynasty described landscape of Kuaiji Mountain: "Thousands of rocks show each other, thousands of rivers flow with each other, and plants cover on it, like sunset clouds." celebrities in the Eastern Jin Dynasty like Wang Xizhi, Xie An, settled in Shaoxing because of  "Good landscape in kuaiji". The poem which poet Wang Ji described Kuaijishan: The sound of cicadas makes the woods more quiet, and the sound of birds makes mountain be more secluded." spreads through the ages. In the Sui Dynasty, Kuaiji Mountain has also been included in the "four towns" of China.

　　1998年始，當地政府投資兩億多元人民幣，相繼建成了國內鳥類飼養品種和數量最多的百鳥樂園及水中樹景、九龍壇、祭禹廣場等景點，景區達到了5平方公里，具有4000多年曆史的守陵村、宛委山陽明洞天于2005年陸續推出。

　　At the beginning of 1998, the local government invested two hundred million yuan, has built attractions like Bird Land with most breeding varieties and the largest number of birds in the domestic and Tree Scene in Water, Kowloon Altar, Yu Memorial Square and so on. The scenic area has reached 5 square kilometers. Shouling Village and Yangming Fancinating Place in Wanwei Mountain with 4000-year history, were launched in 2005 one after another.
