Nanshan Botanical Garden“Tulip-themed Flower Exhibition” opens for visitors
The tulip wine was what made the poet Li Bai drunk in the ancient times. On the occasion of spring, the Nanshan Botanical Garden opened its doors to welcome visitors with a tulip-themed exhibition, in which more than 200,000 tulips of 104 varieties are on display.
A total of more than 200,000 tulips of 104 varieties are available for the public.
Tulips are lovingly referred to as the“charming wine glass” because of their unique flower shapes. Their bright and vivid colors are dazzling, and their petals show a transparent texture in the sunlight, which can be described as“amber light in a jade bowl”. The beauty of tulips lies in their lines, their upright branches and leaves, and their clusters that form a sea of flowers. As spring is drawing near, tulips are in full bloom at the Botanical Garden with overwhelming beauty. While stepping into the Botanical Garden, it is like falling into the gentle space and time of tulips, namely a dreamy and delicate world. The tulips under the sunlight are like the reflection of“spring” in winter, which also warms our hearts and shows us the vigorous liveliness.
Maqu Dynasty tulips
Our reporter recently visited the Nanshan Botanical Garden. Once entered the gate, the reporter saw the“flower maze” arranged by tulips. Tulips clustered together, appearing to be rosy, gorgeous and colorful. Looking from afar, the flowering tulips are like colorful ribbons and the gorgeous sunset in the sky, becoming the wonderful decoration of spring for Chongqing.
Hongxia Tulips come with a rose fragrance.
According to Bai Yu, an engineer at the Greenhouse Center of Nanshan Botanical Garden, this year’s tulip exhibition has also introduced many new varieties.“For example, the Maqu Dynasty tulip, whose upper layer is pink and lower layer is cream, looking extra charming; the Hongxia tulips, on the other hand, come with a rose fragrance, really fascinating,” Bai Yu said.
In addition to tulips, there are also winter blooming plums, begonia and camellia, as well as some of the early cherry blossoms, all of which have contributed to a colorful floral landscape. (Translated by Wang Junli, Fathom Language Limited)
