On the morning of January 25, social vehicles came from Changsha Town, Kaizhou District to Wankai Tunnel (formerly known as Tiefengshan Tunnel) in order, marking the temporary opening of Wanzhou - Kaizhou Fast Channel, shortening the drive time from Wanzhou to Kaizhou High-tech Zone from 1 hour to 15 minutes, and indicating that the traffic between the two places will be more convenient. With a total length of 11.594km, Wanzhou - Kaizhou Fast Channel has not yet been officially opened to traffic due to the construction of Puwan Avenue in the direction of Kaizhou and it is expected to open to traffic in the second half of this year.
