中德青年裝置藝術作品展開幕

Preface

2002年4月16日,當我所搭乘的從深圳飛來重慶的飛機徐徐降落時,我透過飛機的舷窗和瀰漫的水霧,看到了從未見過的也至今未曾忘記的海市蜃樓般的奇異景象。幾年的時光中,梯坎、步道、火鍋、棒棒……讓我逐漸明白了“霧都”背後真正的城市面貌。

On Apr.16th,2002, when the airplane I took from Shenzhen to Chongqing was landing gently, I saw the unforgettable mirage-looking ferly through the porthole and the mist. In the following several years, the peculiar things like steps, footpaths, hotpan, bangbang make me understand the essence of the “mist city”

半年之後,《走進重慶》當代藝術展在重慶城市中心解放碑,在距離重慶大轟炸遺址不到一百五十米的馳瑞畫廊拉開帷幕。人潮洶湧的展覽現場,讓我和專程從北京趕來的批評家鄒躍進、楊衛、高嶺等人都驚訝不已。王林教授主持了開幕儀式,學校的大批師生也前來捧場,可謂盛況空前。記得楊衛當時説了一句:“重慶,有點意思。”

Half an year later, “Be in Chongqing’ Contemporary Art Exhibition was hold in Chirui Art Gallery, Jiefangbei, Chongqing, which was not far from the site of “The Bombing of Chongqing”. So many people came to visit the exhibition, which astonished the commentors from beijing, such as Zhou Yuejin, Yang Wei, Gao Ling and me. Professor Wang Lin hold the opening ceremony and many teachers and students from different schools and univerities took part in the exhibition. I can say it is unprecedented. Yang Wei said : “ Chongqing has great developing space.”

轉眼七年了,直轄、三峽庫區建設、城鄉統籌、一“圈”兩“翼”,我置身於重慶的飛速發展和變化之中,民眾的生活水準被迅速提升,而整個城市的視覺系統也象魔術一般,在瞬間被格式化。重慶越來越像香港。

Seven years has passed, experiencing the rapid devepment and changes of chongqing, like directly under the central government, consturction of Shanxia Kuqu, co-ordination of urban and rural, one ‘circle’.two ‘wings’, I realized that the citizen’s living standard has promptly developed and the vision system of Chongqing is magically formatted. Chongqing is more and more like Hongkong.

在城市建設飛速發展的同時,重慶的藝術力量也在中國當代藝術格局中突顯愈加重要的地位,坦克庫、501、102、十一間眾多藝術家工作室集群如雨後春筍般迅速生成。卡塞爾文獻展,501藝術當代交流展、當代名家抗洪賑災慈善拍賣會、黃桷坪新年國際藝術節、首屆重慶青年美術雙年展的概念落地,構築了黃桷坪藝術區的“重慶藝術生態”。

At the same time with the repid development of city construction, art of Chongqing has become more and more inportant in Chinese Contemporary art. Tank Library, 501, 102, and 11 studios for artists emerged gradually. Kassel Literature Exhibition, 501 Contemporary Art Exchange Exhibition, Flood-relief Charity Aucition of Contemporary Artists’ works, Huangjueping New Year Art Festival and birth of conception of the 1st Chongqing Youth Art Biennale construct the “Chongqing Art Zoology” in Huangjueping Art District.

從95年圓明園藝術家村的解體,到宋莊、798、黃桷坪藝術區的形成,轉眼已是近十五年的時光。中國文化的發展大潮已然洶湧,重慶文化大繁榮、大發展的號角適時吹響,我們面臨的可能是一個前所未有的空前發展機遇。我們的社會語境已然發生了巨大變化,我們的藝術將走向何方?帶著這樣的追問,我們近日在重慶主城區創建了長安當代美術館,並且專門為配合開館而提前開放了“各自話語”的藝術展並啟動了“當代藝術與城市生態論壇”。僅開幕式當天,參觀展覽的群眾數量包逾萬人。從七年前《走進重慶》那個展覽上楊衛那句“重慶,有點意思”,到現在他已是第三次主持探討關於當代藝術和城市發展的論壇,我想,他看到的今天的狀況,應該也會別有一番滋味吧!但我們深感遺憾的是,這樣的景象還是太少了。我們的藝術和公眾之間的關係是時候改變一下了。

It has experienced 15 years from the disorganization of Yuanmingyuan artists village to the formation Songzhuang, 198 and Huangjueping Art District. Accompanying with the great improvement of Chinese Art, we now meet an unprecedented opportunity to develop the culture industry of Chongqing. Our social context has changed, and what is the direction to art? With the question, we built Changan Contemporary Art Gallery in downtown and hold the “Presenting Youself” Art Exhibition as well as the Forum of Contemporary Art and Urban Ecology. On the opening day, the number of visitors was more than 10000. And for Wang Wei, it has been the third time to hold forums about the contemporary art and urban ecology since his words ‘Chongqing has great develping space’ seven years ago. I think he should feel different from seven years ago when he see today’s sitution. What a pity, the development is far form enough, so it is the time to change the relationship between art and the public.

首屆重慶青年美術雙年展的成功舉辦,讓王林教授幾年的努力成為現實。我們因此而激情澎湃,西南當代藝術的發展也許在這個展覽之後,會進入到一個新的發展層級。當然,除了我們的專業群體之外,也許還會重新引發全社會關於藝術本身的社會化和公眾的互動性以及對整體文化的思考。

The sucuss of the 1st Chongqing Youth Art Biennale made Professor Wanglin’s dream come true. We also feel excited that the development of southwest contemporary art will enter into an new era after the exhibition. Of course, besides our professional groups, it may arose the whole society to think about the socialization of art itself, public interaction, and the intergrated culture.
