On the morning of March 31,the opening ceremony of the 7th Cross-Strait Cultural Exchange Activity and the 2023(decoction)Chinese Mother's Ancestral Hometown Worship Ceremony were held in the salt pavilion of the ancestral hometown.More than 400 guests and scholars from both sides of the strait,representatives of cultural and artistic circles,industrial and commercial circles,and more than 2,000 local people gathered in the ancestral hometown to celebrate the grand event,remember the mother of China with traditional etiquette,jointly carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture,and talk about the flesh and blood and family affection of compatriots on both sides of the strait.
Ancestral culture is one of the excellent traditional Chinese cultures and an important part of Yanhuang culture.Sichuan Yanting is the birthplace and burial place of the ancestor,known as the"mother capital of China,the source of the world's silk",and the local folk worship of the ancestor has a long history.
Since 2016,the local area has successfully held six cross-strait cultural exchange activities,and the ancestral cultural exchange activities and the grand ceremony have become an important platform for cross-strait exchanges and cooperation,as well as the spiritual home of compatriots on both sides of the strait and Chinese people around the world to find their roots and ancestors,which has played a positive role in deepening cross-strait exchanges and cooperation,integrating development,cultivating blood and family ties between compatriots on both sides of the strait,enhancing the cultural identity and national identity of Taiwan compatriots,enhancing the pride and sense of belonging of Chinese people around the world,and promoting the peaceful reunification of the motherland.
On the same day,a grandfather worship activity was held simultaneously in Lugang,Changhua County,Taiwan,where compatriots on both sides of the strait jointly paid homage to Huaxia's mother and ancestor online and offline,fully expressing the admiration of the descendants of Yanhuang for the ancestor's"blessing of Huaxia,clothes and clothes".Through video link,people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait expressed their feelings of caution and long-term pursuit,drinking water and thinking of the source,jointly promoting the excellent traditional Chinese culture,and enhancing understanding and consensus.(Yu Shuping,vicky)
