CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On April 24, a 3000-ton container ship was safely passing the Yangtze River Waterway of Chongqing Chaotianmen. According to the municipal waterway authority, it is the low water level period of the Yangtze River Waterway; 3000-ton ships can pass smoothly this year, which thanks to the successful renovation of Chaotianmen-Jiulongpo Waterway last year, so that the original Class-III Waterway was upgraded to a Class-I Waterway, and the tonnage of ships has been increased from 1,000 tons to 3,000 tons.
