伊斯坦布爾雙年展學術性強，地緣重要，今年由兩位來自丹麥的藝術家組合策展，主題為“好鄰居”，最終的效果，很純粹。
蕭昱是今年唯一受邀的中國藝術家，他的作品《地》（2014/2017）自北京展出後，再次出現在伊斯坦布爾現代美術館，是此次展覽的核心空間。
策展人在對整個展覽的闡述時，説“你一走進伊斯坦布爾現代美術館，就會看到一塊人工做的耕地，如果你到的早的話，還會看到兩位中國農民和一頭驢……”

抵達伊斯坦布爾
轉移至伊斯坦布爾北邊的駐地，沿海的小村莊Kisirka

第一次見這只小黑驢，它正打著滾。蕭昱與作品團隊與它一起相伴20多天。
小驢從來沒有幹過農活，土耳其並沒有使用驢犁地的傳統，所有的工具都要重新改造

離開海邊的前一個晚上，恰好是工作人員Asye的生日
三個星期的訓練之後，驢被運到了伊斯坦布爾現代美術館，這是本屆雙年展的核心展館
