1963年生於內蒙古牙克石，祖籍山東濰坊。1886年畢業于中央美術學院油畫係同年留校任教，後赴德國布倫瑞克美術學院留學獲碩士學位和大師生稱號。並先後獲得弗裏德里希-艾伯特基金會藝術獎學金，德國艾茵堡藝術工作獎學金，德國北德銀行基金會藝術工作獎學金。

現作為自由藝術家生活和工作于德國布倫瑞克和中國北京。
