第三屆上海多倫青年美術大展
2008年8月是上海市迎奧運迎世博的關鍵時段。上海多倫現代美術館將成為嘗試當代藝術展覽模式的試驗地，作為一個有中國本土特色名稱的青年美術雙年展，2004年第一屆多倫青年美術大展採取了邀請上海本地知名藝術家以假名方式參加青年展的模式，而第二屆的展覽通過徵集方案的模式邀請全國各地當代藝術家參加，今年的第三屆上海多倫青年美術大展舉辦時間定為2008年8月8-24日，選擇跟北京奧運盛事同步舉行，參展藝術家以2007年專業藝術院校畢業的藝術家到2009年應屆畢業生為主。
本次參展作品採取裝置藝術、行為藝術、觀念藝術、媒體藝術及網路藝術等多元化的當代藝術樣式，上海多倫現代美術館也將一如既往地支援青年藝術家，支援中國當代藝術，預計將直接吸引數萬人次中外藝術愛好者關注，間接影響每年三十萬左右的藝術專業院校畢業生和大批自由藝術家。組委會從徵集和邀請的數百個參展方案中，最終選出壁虎青年文化、蔡承良、康世偉、李心沫、陸永磊、秦白、王鬱洋、徐騰飛、許慧晶、張湘溪、趙朔等35位（組）藝術家的作品參加現場展覽，同時，因為場地限制，還有李文強、李岩、任倢、蘇迎春、伊慧、竺斯昀等16名藝術家採取了方案參展的形式，本次展覽定於8月24日下午3點閉幕，屆時將在上海多倫現代美術館舉辦中英雙語《“囧——表現與姿態”第三屆上海多倫青年美術大展作品集》首發式暨城市民謠演出，由上海城市民謠歌手杜文清、白羽和劉四加等參加。
“囧”作為展覽主題詞，是因為作為古漢字的“象形”生動呈現了這次年輕藝術家展覽的主旨：獨具姿態的藝術表達。本次展覽的藝術家多為畢業前後的學生，他們的作品多具鮮活的創新氣質，並試圖構建自我價值的表達。雖然他們因為年輕而不是那麼為人所重，但他們卻努力按照自己的方式進行創作，帶著年青人獨有的浪漫、激情，充滿自信。他們從自身感觸尋找價值判斷，針對社會、歷史以及藝術本體展開作品的邏輯表達，從而具備了一種不同於前者的藝術姿態。
這樣的姿態，決定了他們藝術表達上的新鮮，並註定會為中國當代藝術的發展增添新的基因。從這個角度上看，他們代表了中國當代藝術的未來。他們的藝術姿態與表達，必將成為一種新的中國元素，成為世界藝術格局中的東方代表。基於此點，在2008中國因奧運而展現新的國家姿態之同時，通過藝術活動呈現中國年輕藝術家的藝術表達與姿態，則將是中國新文化建設的重要內容與途徑。

I. Exhibition Introduction
August, 2008 is the crucial period to Shanghai to welcome the Olympic games and EXPO. Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art will be the stage for displaying the modern arts. As a biennial exhibition which has a Chinese native name, the first Duolun Youth Art Exhibition invited Shanghai local well-known artists to participate the youth exhibition with pseudonyms; the second exhibition invited the artists from the whole country by colleting the projects; the date of the third exhibition of this year has been set on Aug. 24, 2008, which will be held simultaneously with the Olympic Games. Artists’ identity is limited at young artists graduated from professional art school in 2007 and more than 20 groups of 2009 graduates, no limit for education and major.
As the key word of the exhibition, “囧” is a pictograph presents the keynote of this youth exhibition: art expression of unique attitude. Most of the artists in the exhibition are new graduate students. Young artists have uniquely alive innovate temperament and the attempt to create a way to expression themselves. They are young and not to be regarded highly, but they create on their own way, with peculiar romance, passion and confidence. They search the value from their own feelings. They gave the works new logical expression based on society, history and art, thus embodying a new art which is different from former ones.
Their attitudes determine the freshment of the art expression and destine to add new elements into the development of Chinese modern art. From this point, they represent Chinese future. Their art attitude and expression will definitely become a new Chinese element and be the oriental representative in the art world. China unfold the new appearance because of the Olympic games, meanwhile, artists unfold their expression and attitude through art activities, which will be a important content and channel of the Chinese new cultural construction.
Installation Art, Performing Art, Conceptual Art, Media Art and Internet Art are token in this exhibition. Through this exhibition method, there will be high exposure and wide social influence. Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art will support youth artists, Chinese modern art as always. The exhibition is expected to directly attract tens of thousands of Chinese and foreign enthusiast and indirectly influence 300,000 art college students and artists annually. Organizing committee will finally select more than 20 pieces of works from the contributions to participate the exhibition. Juries will award the sponsor titled outstanding works and hold a grand ceremony and public bilingual book “囧, expression and attitude, the third Shanghai Duolun Youth Art Exhibition Collection”.
II. Topic
Young artists have uniquely alive innovate temperament and the attempt to create a way to expression themselves. They are young and not to be regarded highly, but they create on their own way, with peculiar romance, passion and confidence. They search the value from their own feelings. They gave the works new logical expression based on society, history and art, thus embodying a new art which is different from former ones.
