春雷過後，是萬物初長的時節，當太陽到達黃經345°時，“東風解凍，蟄蟲始振”，恰如大家今天在上海多倫現代美術館所看到的，這次參展的50余位藝術家，他們不是初出茅廬的後生，基本上都是出生於1980年前後的一代具有相當實力的新銳藝術家，他們在藝術創作語言和圖式上都獨具個性，而整個策展團隊，也是由這樣一群年輕人組成，在這些虎虎有生氣的年輕面孔前，呈現給觀眾更多的是一股無可抵擋的銳氣。
2000年的3月5日，一些上海及周邊地區的青年藝術家自發組建上海驚蟄藝術沙龍，也就是本次展覽主辦方之一上海驚蟄藝術聯盟的前身，通過連續舉辦一系列的新銳藝術群展，吸納了大量具有學院派背景的年輕藝術家；而最早提出“獨生一代“藝術觀念的兩位北京策展人趙樹林和黃岩，也是中國最早幾個長時間關注70後和80後藝術群體的有心人，這次他們兩位作為展覽的學術支援力量，給予了我們很大的幫助；2003年12月，上海多倫現代美術館開館以來，一直致力於挖掘和推進本土化的當代藝術力量，先後舉辦了兩屆上海多倫青年美術大展和一系列的新銳藝術家個展，成為中國當代藝術發展史中不可回避的一家專業服務於當代藝術的公共美術館，今年，我們又成立了上海多倫當代藝術中心來實施本次“345°上海新銳藝術大展”的具體操作，這次展覽的整體架構和後續演進，都將以上述三個關注並樂意推廣“新銳藝術家”的學術群體為策源地，為中國當代藝術的良性健康發展不斷注入新的血液和能量。
適時國際藝術（present international multiform art）是義大利國際文化藝術交流機構，上海惠生藝術中心是隸屬於惠生控股集團的公益性藝術機構，在此我代表上海多倫現代美術館，對他們兩家機構為促成本次展覽的成功舉辦而作出的貢獻表示由衷的感謝。
我們看到，就在今天，中國當代藝術的鮮活力量正被“加持”，上海多倫現代美術館將一如既往地成為年輕藝術家的“福地”，我們期望更多的新銳藝術家能夠在多倫這個小小的舞臺亮相，多倫願意成為藝術創新的實驗地和助推器，讓我們用這個精彩紛呈的展覽對世界發出我們自己的呼喊：年輕人已經來了，你們準備好了嗎？

345°—Shanghai New Fresh Art Exhibition
Foreword
Following the spring thunder is the time for all living things on the earth to start to grow. When the sun reaches the celestial longitude, “the east wind will defrost the earth; the insects will have their first quivering”. As everyone shall see in Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art today, the more than 50 participating artists are no new-fledged young men, but new fresh artists born in around the 80’s with artistic strength, whose language of artistic creation and schemata bears unique characteristics. In addition, the whole organizing team of this exhibition is composed of a group of young people as well. All these vigorous young faces bring to the show an irresistible freshness.
Back to March 5th, 2000, some young artists in Shanghai and surrounding areas initiated the establishment of Shanghai Jingzhe Art Salon, which, being the precursor of Shanghai Jingzhe Art Association, had organized a series of new fresh art group exhibitions and attracted vast young artists with academic background. And the two curators in Beijing, Zhao Shulin and Huang Yan, who have kindly given us academic support and great help this time, firstly proposed the art concept “single child generation” and also were the earliest ones showing keen interest in the art group born in-between the 70’s and the 80’s. Since its opening in Dec. 2003, Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art has been always dedicating to the cultivation and propelling of the localized contemporary art force, and has hosted two Shanghai Duolun Art Exhibitions of Young Artists and a series of solo-exhibitions for new fresh artists, shaping itself into a public museum specifically serving contemporary art in the Art history of China. This year, we’ve established Shanghai Duolun Contemporary Art Center to carry out the actual operation of “345°Shanghai New Fresh Art Exhibition”. The overall structure and the afterward evolvement of this exhibition will find its resources in the above-mentioned three academic groups, which are ready to promote “New Fresh Artists” and will give them long-term attention, so as to infuse fresh blood and energy into China contemporary art.
Present International Multiform Art is an international culture and art exchange institution in Italy, while Shanghai Wison Art Center is an art institution of public welfare under owned by Wison Group Holding Limited. On behalf of Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art, I’d like to take this opportunity to express our heart-felt gratitude to the two institutions for their immense contribution made for this exhibition.
We can see that, right now, in China the fresh strength of contemporary art is receiving “the blessing of Buddha”. As always, Shanghai Duolun museum of Modern Art will remain as the “promised land” and experimental field for artistic creation and a booster for young artists, with the hope that more and more new fresh artists can be brought onto the stage in Duolun. Let this unusually brilliant exhibition yell out at the world：The young have already arrived. Are you ready for this now?
