EOD Tourism Project kicks off in Sanyang Wetland, Wenzhou Eco-Park

On the morning of December 18th, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the supporting project of the west entrance of the Eco-environment-oriented Development (EOD) cultural tourism project in Sanyang Wetland, Wenzhou Ecological Park.

The newly commenced supporting project and underground civil air defense works at the west entrance of Sanyang Wetland is located on the south side of the west entrance, adjacent to Wenrui Avenue to the west. It covers a total land area of approximately 21,699.9 square meters, encompassing the construction of basements, bridges, landscapes, green spaces, and service buildings. The project is being developed by the Wenzhou Ecological Park Development and Construction Investment Group and constructed by China Construction Eighth Engineering Division. According to the preliminary plan, the newly built parking lot at the west entrance will provide 389 parking spaces, including 30 fast-charging spaces, 31 slow-charging spaces, and 328 regular spaces, to meet the growing parking demand of visitors to Sanyang Wetland. Additionally, the parking lot will adopt an intelligent management system aimed at visitors' better experience.

The supporting project and underground civil air defense works at the west entrance of Sanyang Wetland are important components of the first EOD project in Wenzhou Ecological Park. It is learned that the"Green Heart Wenzhou, Ecological Sanyang" EOD project has a total investment of RMB 2.074 billion. Aiming to further enhance the wetland's ecological foundation and establish a new benchmark for the integrated development of wetland ecology, culture, and tourism in the city center, the project focuses on the main theme of"comprehensive ecological environment management + integrated development of culture, health, and wellness tourism". It relies on four subprojects, namely, water environment treatment and ecological restoration of Sanyang Wetland, biodiversity conservation, cultural tourism development, and health and wellness tourism development, encompassing 15 projects such as agricultural non-point source pollution control, ecological restoration in conservation areas, an ecological Wenzhou Orange cultural park, and an ecological health town.

With the commencement of the supporting project at the west entrance, the Sanyang Wetland EOD project has officially kicked off, marking new development opportunities for Wenzhou Ecological Park in terms of ecological environment protection and tourism industry development. (ZhongXin)
