China to enhance judicial measures against monopoly

China's Supreme People's Court (SPC) on Friday vowed to enhance judicial measures to better guard the country's market environment against monopolistic behavior.

According to a document released by the SPC on Friday, the SPC will devise judicial interpretations of laws and rules regarding anti-unfair competition and anti-monopoly civil disputes.

The SPC will also publicize typical cases in this regard, so as to set examples for market participants and regulate their behavior.

The document specifically proposes the stricter judicial regulation of companies behind online services platforms, urging harsh punishments for behaviors that disrupt market order, such as big data-enabled price discrimination.
