Daofu County in China's Sichuan(3)

Daofu County in northeastern Ganzi prefecture, Sichuan covers an area of 7,053 square kilometers with a population of 55,000. The county is a transitional zone between mountain and plain for its position in the Xianshui River fault zone on the southeastern edge of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

Lying at the middle and lower reaches of the Xianshui River, a tributary of Yalong River, Daofu borders Danba and Jinchuan on the northeast, neighboring Kangding and Yajiang on the southeast and Xinlong, Luhuo and Xiangtang on the northwest.

Daofu has a complicated, diverse and unique topography featuring snow-covered peaks, canyons, rivers, falls, earth and stone forests, grassland and wetland. It is like a poetic and picturesque dreamland.
