Two hundred officers and soldiers arrive at Kunming Changshui Airport on May 18, 2017, preparing to set off for a one-year peacekeeping mission to Lebanon. As the 16th batch of peacekeeping forces China has sent to the Middle Eastern country, they will take part in mine sweeping, engineering construction and help provide humanitarian aid. This latest batch consists of 180 multi-function military engineers, 200 construction engineers and 30 medical workers. A further 210 officers and soldiers are scheduled to set off on May 25.
