在濯水，幾乎家家戶戶都用陶罐裝油、裝糯米甜酒、泡粑、裝泉孔酒、泡霉豆腐、裝米糧等。陶器水罐泡涼茶也是土家族人尋常的生活習慣。可見，土家族人的泥巴工藝品，經過窯火燒煉而成的陶器，在日常生活中佔有十分重要的地位。
