Medical supplies are urgently needed in the areas affected by the Sichuan earthquake. Xin Dong Cheng Space for Contemporary Art has prepared a shipment of supplies that our representative will transport to Chengdu. There the Chengdu Artists Contact Center will serve as the receiving and staging point. If anyone has any medical supplies to contribute to our shipment, we will be happy to receive whatever you want to donate. Please contact us before Tuesday, May 20. The delegation of Chinese artists, collectors and media who participated at the “Beijing- Athens: Contemporary Art from China” Exhibition returned today at 15:00 o’clock to their embracing homeland, China, still caring with them the Greek peoples deep generosity. To sum up this successful exhibition, the delegation’s members all used only three words: “pleased but tired!”…. In this occasion, Cheng Xindong, the organizer of this exhibition, would like to thank again from the bottom of his heart to all the friends who supported, helped and participated in the exhibition!

參加“北京—雅典，來自中國的當代藝術展”的所有中國藝術家、收藏家、媒體等同志們昨天在希臘大使的陪同下到達了夢幻之島Mykonos，所有人都被愛琴海的魅力所征服。當地市長及全體議員盛情款待了中國民間代表團，在音樂與歌舞聲中整個晚會高潮疊起。也許不久的將來普通話將成為Mykonos島的官方語言之一。代表團迷失在愛琴海但心繫祖國，思念親人。

News flash:
Yesterday the delegation of Chinese artists, collectors and media who participated at the “Beijing- Athens: Contemporary Art from China” Exhibition arrived to Mykoson island, accompanied by the Greece ambassador. Everyone were under the magic spell of the Aegean Sea. The local mayor gave a great hospitality to the Chinese delegation. In the climax of the evening party, during the singing and the dancing it seems like the Chinese will soon be the official language of Mikonos. The delegation was lost in the Aegean Sea but eventually arrived safely to the shore!

"Beijing-Athens, Contemporary Art from China” was solemnly opened in Greek Athens national contemporary art center last night at eight o’clock, the scene of which is magnificent. According to the incomplete statistics, there are more than 1,000 people that have attended this opening ceremony, which made local media exclaimed! Greek foreign minister, minister of labor, minister of finance, minister of culture, and ambassadors of China and Japan staying in Greece also attended the opening ceremony. The passionate addresses of Greek foreign minister can be summed up as: I love China! And let us convey his regards to the people in the stricken area of China！

參加希臘“北京—雅典，來自中國的當代藝術展”的中國民間代表團昨晚在聖喬治山頂一覓雅典全景，心潮起伏…只聽相機卡卡聲。隨隊攝影徐聚一今天已用完三張2g。方力鈞、楊紹斌被評為模範父親，抱著親生寶貝上下山，受到一致好評；馬六明稱本次展覽為藝術奧運，並已決定參加下屆；王功新、鐘飆已有新作品構思；唐志剛建議成立全國當代美協…贊助展覽畫冊的希臘小船王認為畫冊規模至少600頁！代表團11點回賓館，有三分之一不顧時差各自組成小分隊自由活動，並很快消失在夜幕中…希臘國家級導遊13小時全陪講解…

The Chinese folk delegation who take part in exhibition in Greece on "Beijing - Athens, Contemporary Art from China" last night stood on the top of St. George mountain to view a panorama of Athens, they were in a luxury of emotion.…only heard sound of the camera. Xu Juyi who with the team worked for shoot - today he ran out of three pieces 2 g. Fang Lijun and Yang Shaobin was chosen as model father, they brought their honey up and down the mountain and obtained the consistent high praise ; Ma Liumin said that the exhibition is art of the Olympic and has decided to participate in the next one；Wang Gongxin, Zhongbiao has formed plan about their new works; Tang Zhigang proposed to form Contemporary Artists' Association…small Greek shipping magnate who patronized the exhibition album thought that the scale of the album should be at least 600 pages! delegation back to hotel at eleven , one third of them ignore the time difference separately form small team free to move，and disappeared under the cover of darkness… the Greek national level guide with 13 hours explain；today the Athens Marathon gas station workers hold great strike, causing serious road block…
