由中國美術館、朱銘美術館共同主辦的“2010朱銘人間系列雕塑展”，將於2010年7月18日在中國美術館開幕，並舉行“2010朱銘人間系列雕塑展”學術研討會。凡對此次學術研討會感興趣的社會各界人士均可報名參加，中國美術館將為與會者免去門票。

朱銘藝術簡介：
1938年出生於台灣苗栗的朱銘，原名朱川泰。早年家中貧困，小學畢業後為謀生計，拜師李金川，學習佛像雕刻，在這裡奠定了傳統技法的基礎。曾在基隆開設店面，累積了雕刻的經歷和經營的技巧。後成為雕塑家楊英風入室的第子。在楊英風台北市的工作室學習近7年，楊英風為他重新取名朱銘。他的作品獲得國際藝壇的注目和轟動。為享譽當代國際藝壇之雕塑家，創作主題“鄉土系列”、“太極系列”、“人間系列”為其創作歷程中之三大主軸。2010年于北京中國美術館展出“朱銘人間系列雕塑展”，回顧發展迄今已逾三十年的“人間系列”創作。以人間百態為題材，深刻描繪其所見、所感的人間與生活；並以多元材質進行創作及嘗試，敘説材質語匯之美。迄今，朱銘仍持續發展以人間為題之作品，在藝術道途上不斷自我挑戰，並落實“藝術即修行”之創作美學觀。
