According to a statement issued by the CPC Central Committee on Oct 29th, 2015, China further relaxed its more than three-decade-old family planning policy, and introduced the universal two-child policy, which would allow all couples to have two children. This policy was planed to be fully implemented on Jan 1st , 2016.
E.g.: China has decided to end its one-child policy, and adopt the universal two-child policy to balance population development and address the challenge of an ageing population.
