National Games Village in Xi'an opens

As an important supporting facility for China's upcoming 14th National Games, various facilities, equipment, and services in the National Games Village have been fully put in place. The village officially opens on Aug 27.

The National Games Village is located in Xi'an International Trade and Logistics Park in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province.

With a total area of 680 mu (45.33 hectares), the village is divided into an athlete village, a technical official village, and a media reporter village.

There are 56 houses, 2,975 rooms, and 12,176 beds in the village, and it is the National Games Village with the largest scale and the most complete facilities in the country. It can provide a diverse array of services such as accommodation, catering, commerce, medical care, and transportation.

At present, there are 5,600 service personnel responsible for the village, 730 armed police, public security, and fire protection personnel, and 261 medical and first-aid personnel in the village.

All staff members at the village will spare no effort in its operation and management.

In addition, the village has established and improved various systems and procedures for epidemic prevention and control and formulated guidelines for targert groups.

China's 14th National Games are scheduled to be held on Sept 15-27 in Shaanxi province, with Xi'an as the main host city.
