改革只有進行時，沒有完成時，必須敢於啃硬骨頭、闖難關、涉險灘，堅決掃除經濟發展的體制機制障礙。增強國有經濟活力、控制力、影響力，激發非公有制經濟活力和創造力，構建親清新型政商關係，激發企業家精神，為經濟發展注入了強大動力。
Reform is not a mission accomplished, rather it is an ongoing process. We must have the courage to tackle tough issues, break through logjams and venture risky areas to remove institutional barriers to economic development. The economic vitality, dominance, and influence of the state-owned sector have been enhanced, and the vigor and creativity of the private sector stimulated. A clean and cordial relationship between government and business has thus taken shape, fostering entrepreneurship and breathing new life into economic growth.
建設創新引領、協同發展的産業體系

實現實體經濟、科技創新、現代金融、人力資源協同發展，使科技創新在實體經濟發展中的貢獻份額不斷提高，現代金融服務實體經濟的能力不斷增強，人力資源支援實體經濟發展的作用不斷優化。
An industrial system should be built with innovation playing a leading role, featuring coordinated development of the real economy, science and technology innovation, modern finance and human resources, so that innovation will contribute more to the development of the real economy, modern finance will have a stronger capability of serving the real economy, and human resources will play an optimized role in supporting the real economy.
健全區域協調發展新機制
Improve the mechanism for coordinated regional development
增強創新發展動力，加快構建高品質發展的動力系統，增強中心城市和城市群等經濟發展優勢區域的經濟和人口承載能力，增強其他地區在保障糧食安全、生態安全、邊疆安全等方面的功能，形成優勢互補、高品質發展的區域經濟佈局。
Stimulate innovation-driven development and enhance the dynamics for quality growth; Increase the economic and population carrying capacity of regions with development edges, including leading cities and city clusters; and strengthen the capacity of other regions for food, eco-environmental and border security.
發展更高層次開放型經濟

推動開放朝著優化結構、拓展深度、提高效益方向轉變。著力發展開放型經濟，提高現代化經濟體系的國際競爭力，更好利用全球資源和市場，繼續積極推進“一帶一路”框架下的國際交流合作。
We should ensure that opening up help to optimize structure, expand depth and improve efficiency. Develop an open economy to improve the international competitiveness of the modernized economy. China should better utilize global resources and markets and promote international cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.

We have realized that in addition to good guiding philosophy and policies we should have sound tactics and approaches if we want to boost sound and sustainable economic development. We are steadfast and unremitting in implementing strategies, stay true to our principles, take into full consideration any difficulties and problems, and are always prepared to deal with the worst-case scenario. Like a hammer driving a nail, we need to move forward step by step, taking each small step as a big success.
