On June 16, 2015, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited the site of Zunyi Meeting in Guizhou. He emphasized that Zunyi Meeting has left a valuable legacy and important insights in terms of combining the basic tenets of Marxism with the actual conditions of China, adhering to the path of independence, sticking to the correct politicalline and strategies, and building a strong, mature central leadership. Therefore, we must make good use of the historical experience of Zunyi Meeting and let the spirit of Zunyi Meeting shine forever.

In January 1935, the Central Committee of Communist Party of China (CPC) held Zunyi Meeting—an extended meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee in Zunyi, Guizhou. Zunyi Meeting was a vital turning point in the history of the Party. At an extremely critical historical moment, the meeting saved the Party, the Red Army and the Chinese revolution, breaking new ground for the Chinese revolution. The significant contributions of Zunyi Meeting will go down in history and shine forever.
遵義精神，是不忘初心，埋頭實幹的精神。是獨立自主，頑強拼搏的精神。是民主奮進，團結制勝的精神。
遵義會議深化了中國共産黨對中國革命的認識，形成了寶貴的革命文化成果，它與中華優秀傳統文化血肉相連，是對革命精神的繼承與弘揚、對社會主義先進文化建設，具有重大現實作用。
The Zunyi spirit is the combination of not forgetting why we start, hard work, independence and tenacity, as much as a spirit of democratic progress, unity and victory. Zunyi Meeting deepened the CPC’s understanding of the Chinese revolution and made a valuable achievement in Chinese revolution. It is closely linked with the excellent traditional Chinese culture. It’s a succession and extension of the revolutionary spirit, playing an important role in building an advanced socialist culture.
遵義會議召開至今已經80餘年過去了，中國發生了翻天覆地的變化。雖然，隨著歲月的流逝，我們翻開了新的一頁，邁出了新的腳步，但是，歷史不可忘記。正如習近平總書記所強調的，歷史是最好的教科書，中國革命歷史是最好的營養劑。
More than 80 years have passed since Zunyi Meeting. Since then, China has undergone tremendous changes. As the years went by, we are one step forward onto a new chapter, though the history should not be forgotten. As General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized, history is the best textbook and the Chinese revolutionary history is the best nutrient.
歷史的啟迪永在，精神的價值永存。我們要深入挖掘和整理、繼承和發揚光大它的精神和價值，為改革開放和社會主義現代化建設服務，為實現“兩個一百年”奮鬥目標和中華民族偉大復興的中國夢服務。
Inspiration of history exists forever and the value of the spirit lasts forever. We must further explore and study the spirit, and go on inheriting and carrying forward the spirit and the value so that they will better serve our reform and opening up, socialist modernization, the Two Centenary Goals and the Chinese dream ofnational rejuvenation.
