釘釘子精神

“釘釘子”，前一個“釘”是動詞，讀“定”，意為“把釘子捶打進別的東西裏”；

The Chinese translation of driving nails is “釘釘子”, the first”釘” is a verb, which means “hammer the nail into something else”;

後一個“釘”是名詞，讀“丁”，構成“釘子”一詞，即“金屬製成的細棍形的物件”。

The latter “釘” is a noun, which means “nail”, a thin pointed piece of metal with a flat top.

“釘釘子”能成為一種精神，是因為這一簡單動作中蘊含著深刻的哲理。

The reason why “driving nails” has become a kind of spirit is due to the profound philosophy in this simple action.

釘釘子是我們日常生活中的常見行為，現常比喻做事認真，堅持到底，有始有終。

“Driving nails” is common to see in our daily life. Nowadays it is usually compared to an attitude for working conscientiously, and sticking to the end with persistence and consistency.  

釘釘子用在幹事業和抓落實上，

The Spirit of Driving Nails is about working earnestly and bringing work to fruition.

體現的是一種敢於擔當的精神、一種堅忍不拔的意志、一種攻堅克難的力量、一種一往無前的勁頭。

effective solutions, real development,

勇往直前，不厭其煩，解決好一個個具體問題，克服一個個具體困難，跨過一溝再越一壑，防止決策部署“在一片落實中落空”。

釘釘子要有決心和耐心。

It calls for determination and patience.
