The 2023 Wenzhou Open Data Innovation and Application Contest concludes

The 2023 Wenzhou Open Data Innovation and Application Contest and the 2023 Zhejiang“Zhijiang Cup” Data Governance and Innovation Application Contest (Wenzhou Division) successfully concluded. 25 teams that entered the finals competed fiercely, and the excellent teams will represent Wenzhou in the provincial finals.

The contest was jointly held by Wenzhou Administrative Organs of Big Data Bureau, Internet Information Office, Economic and Information Technology Bureau, Science and Technology Bureau, and Trade Union, with the support from the integrated intelligent public data platform. It encouraged enterprises, social organizations, and individuals to focus on key areas such as digital economy, business environment, smart transportation, rural revitalization, public services, and environment friendly low-carbon development. Therefore, the data value mining and application innovation will promote efficient data flow and utilization.

Since the launch of the contest, it has attracted many participants from relative fields, including big data professionals and amateurs. The organizing committee received 100 pieces of works. After expert review, 44 entered the preliminary round of the Wenzhou division, and 25 teams advanced to the provincial finals.

After more than two months of selection and training, the teams gave impressive presentations at the finals to showcase the social innovation and market vitality brought by the digital transformation.

“This system can help pharmaceutical companies improve their research and production efficiency, and benefit more patients...” The work called"Subject Recruitment System" is presented by Zhuojian Technology & Lianren Healthcare. Based on the public health data from National Health Commission and the medical data such as records, diagnoses, prescriptions and examinations, the system creates a rapid system to match the clinical trial patient and the medical case.

"Ask and Respond" AI First Aid is highlighted by its improved speech recognition model, which can effectively solve the problem of accent recognition. With the help of the large model of first aid service and medical knowledge data base, it can recommend suitable emergency plans.

The above two works won the first prize in the contest.

In addition, the work"Old Books, New Dreams - Passing on the Torch" was also highly praised. This work uses various types of open data from government to allow teachers and students to redeem the books they need. It and four other works, including" Affordable Security","Smart Charge - Intelligent Manager of Private Charging Piles", and"Script Tour" Digital Theater for Rural Cultural Tourism, won the second prize. Six other works, including"Safety and Parenting" Digital Fertility Management Service, Carefree E-Food, and"Schoolmate Companion" Student Pick-up Service Application, won the third prize.

The judge Mr. Wangxiang said the contest this year was a collision of innovation and practice. The works are both promising to promote industrial development and practical to serve the people's daily life. He looks forward to a series of golden ideas being transformed into various data applications, making life more convenient.

This is the fourth year of the contest. Over the years, the theme is focused on the present era, and lots of excellent works with economic and social value have emerged. Among them, typical works including"Carefree Diagnose","Urban Data Public Service Platform","Lung Cancer Early Screening Based on Image Cloud", and"Love Help" have all become reality and served the people's lives.

An official from the Wenzhou Municipal Bureau of Big Data said the contest is of great significance to the construction of the China (Wenzhou) Data Port. It will attract domestic"data business" to Wenzhou for innovation and entrepreneurship. Meanwhile, a number of data applications with significant economic and social benefits will enable more products (scenarios) to sail from Wenzhou and go nationwide.（ZhongXin）
