Wenzhou Dragon Boat Sports Center: Photoelectric Glass + Informationized Floodgate

The Wenzhou Dragon Boat Sports Center is the most high-end and standardized dragon boat sports complex in China and even in Asia. The water racecourse is 1200 meters long, 130 meters wide, with a depth of 3.5 meters during races. The water level can be adjusted through five regulating gates upstream and downstream. There are six main race lanes, and the length of the races can be adjusted freely based on the floating launch platform. The project started on December 20, 2018, completed joint acceptance in March of last year, and passed the functional acceptance of the Asian Games organizing committee in October of the same year. The dragon boat races for the Hangzhou Asian Games will be held here in September this year, producing a total of six gold medals.

It is worth mentioning that, based on the"intelligent Asian Games" concept, the outer side of the circular observation platform on the east side of the venue is covered with 286 photoelectric glass panels. This unique innovation technology embeds LED light sources into the glass. When powered on, it becomes a colorful high-definition LED display screen while appearing as ordinary glass when not in use. During the Asian Games, real-time match information and highlights can be displayed on the entire screen, while it can also be used for live broadcasts, public service announcements, or commercial advertisements during regular times. Compared to ordinary LED screens, photoelectric glass has the advantages of low energy consumption and a pleasant appearance, fully embodying the green and low-carbon concept of the Asian Games.

The informationized construction of the floodgate at the Wenzhou Dragon Boat Center is currently in the preparation stage and is expected to be completed in July. Lin Yulong, the person in charge of the Ouhai Central District Construction Center, told reporters,"Simply put, informationized construction can play a role in automatic monitoring, flood prevention, and drainage. It can also remotely control the opening and closing of the floodgates and view the status and water level of the floodgates in real time."

In addition, the Wenzhou Dragon Boat Center incorporates the design concepts of green buildings, such as the introduction of a fresh air system, rainwater recycling, and sponge city concepts, making it a top-notch dragon boat sports complex in Asia. (Zhongxin)
