趙啟正，男，1940年1月生於北京。1963年畢業于中國科學技術大學核物理專業。1963—1974年在核工業部第二設計院工作。1975—1984年在上海航太局上海廣播器材廠工作，歷任設計科副科長、副廠長等職，職稱為研究員（教授級高級工程師）。1984—1986年任上海市工業工作黨委副書記、上海市委組織部副部長。1986—1991年任上海市委常委，組織部部長。1991年起任上海市常委、副市長。1993年起兼任上海浦東新區首任管委會主任和黨工委書記。1998年起任中共中央對外宣傳辦公室主任、國務院新聞辦公室主任。2002年當選為中國共産黨第十六屆中央委員會委員。2005年8月起任全國政協外事委員會副主任。

    Curriculum Vitae of Mr. Zhao Qizheng

    Mr. Zhao Qizheng was Minister of the State Council Information Office of the People’s Republic of China from 1998 to August 2005. In March 2005, he was appointed Vice Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. He is member of the 16th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. He graduated from University of Science and Technology of China majoring in nuclear physics. He once served as senior engineer at the Design Institute of the Ministry of Nuclear Industry and Shanghai Space Administration. Later, he was member of the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Director-General of the Organization Department of the Shanghai Committee. Since 1991, he was member of the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor of Shanghai. Since 1993, he was concurrently first Administrator of the Management Committee of Shanghai Pudong New Area.
