Natural Landscape in Lidarenzhuang Village

Located in Hebeitun Town, Wuqing District, Tianjin City, Lidarenzhuang Village scents coffee from elegant homestays and showcases three-dimensional vivid paintings on the walls of the houses. In order to change the look of this ancient village, the village leaders have successfully developed various industries such as precision planting and picking-style homestay by integrating resources and deeply exploring local village history and culture. Nowadays, tourists can taste local agricultural products, admire the beautiful scenery, and experience ceramic craft, calligraphy, paintings and other activities here.

Resources Integration Plays a New Rhythm in Rural Development

”In the past, villagers were mainly engaged in traditional agricultural cultivation and scattered farming. The village’s infrastructure was weak and the people’s income was low. In 2017, it was listed in the second round of assistance to poor villages in Tianjin,” said Zhang Jiangnan, Secretary of the Party Branch and Director of the Village Committee of Lidarenzhuang Village. In order to find a way out, village leaders led villagers to integrate idle land, houses and other resources and focused on developing the cultural tourism industry, injecting new impetus into the local economy and providing job opportunities for villagers locally.

Han Jianshuo continued,”The homestays in our village are divided into three areas, including a parent-child theme area, a Chinese courtyard theme area, and an urban minimalist theme area, with a total of 18 guest rooms. Every holiday, the guest rooms are fully booked. For example, during the May Day holiday in 2023, we received over a hundred people.”

The academy of classical learning in the village also showcases the calligraphy and paintings of famous scholars from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.”This painting is the first work of Mr. Wang Huichun, a renowned modern Chinese artist of heavy-color paintings, and we view it as a treasure displayed in the village. We often invite famous calligraphers and painters to come to the village. In addition to traditional calligraphy and painting, we also explore artistic creations such as firing ceramic paintings,” said Liu Xiujuan, the head of the”Cultural Center”. Relevant personnel combine rare stones, calligraphy and paintings, and ceramic crafts to gather various cultural”reserves” for the village.

The annual collective income of the village has increased from nearly zero three years ago to 550,000 yuan currently, with a per-capita income of 34,000 yuan,” Zhang Jiangnan said.
