High-end varieties, such as stereoscopic hydroponic leeks, celery, experimental fruits and vegetables, grow in the intelligent glass greenhouses.” LIU Tianmin introduced his intelligent glass greenhouses of 5,000 square meters. Furthermore, in the vegetable plantation covering an area of 1,000 mu, there are also second-generation energy-saving greenhouses of 500 mu and multi-span cold houses of 70 mu, with an annual output of 7,500 tons of various vegetables and fruits. It happened that Dayu Irrigation Group Co., Ltd., a China-renowned intelligent agricultural enterprise, came to Tianjin to design a unified intelligent irrigation system for the plantation. Cultivation containers are neatly arranged on stereoscopic shelves, with small nozzles”watering” the plants’ roots. Zhao Haibo, a worker of Tiaoliangwu Village, said,”Irrigation facilities can improve the utilization rate of water resources and achieve’customized’ irrigation modes. In traditional broad irrigation, a lot of water is evaporated, so little water is actually used by crops. The plants’ roots can directly absorb water and fertilizer in this way.” Through intelligent management, only 150 villagers can manage 600 intelligent greenhouses in the intelligent plantation of Dayu Irrigation Group Co., Ltd. At present, over 10 excellent varieties of fruits and vegetables are grown in the intelligent greenhouses of over 1,000 mu.
With increases in the varieties of fruits and vegetables, Tiaoliangwu Village started to consider the integrative development of agriculture, culture and tourism, so a core experience area of 300 mu had been opened in the plantation for picking, team building, research and learning. Not long ago, the”leading wild gooses” trained for the revitalization of Hebei rural industries also specially came to Tiaoliangwu Village for the”three products and one indication” learning of vegetable production. Now, due to the integration of production demonstration, science popularization education, practical training, leisure sightseeing and other functions, the village’s plantation has become an important place for the development of modern urban agriculture in Tianjin.
