WUHAN, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- China is home to about 53.6 million hectares of wetlands, or 4 percent of the world’s total. With one-fifth of the global population, the country has met their diverse needs for wetland production, living, ecology and culture.
In 1992, China formally acceded to the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands. Over the past 30 years, China has made great efforts to protect and restore wetlands, and the ecological conditions have continued to improve. Click to find out more. #GLOBALink #COP14
