Crime thriller "A Place Called Silence" continues to lead Chinese mainland box o

Sam Quah's latest crime thriller, "A Place Called Silence," continued to top the Chinese mainland box office on Monday, according to the China Movie Data Information Network.

The movie, which explores the topic of campus bullying, amassed 66.98 million yuan (about 9.39 million U.S. dollars) in box office revenue on the day. By the sixth day of its screening, the movie has raked in a cumulative total of 442 million yuan.

Since its release on July 3, the crime thriller has dominated the box office chart for six consecutive days, maintaining a significant lead over other titles.

Disney's "Inside Out 2" and the domestic drama "Moments We Shared" secured the second and third spots, earning approximately 7.65 million yuan and 7.15 million yuan, respectively, on Monday.

The total box office revenue of the Chinese mainland on Monday stood at 97.34 million yuan.
