The Entire 330kV External Power Supply Project for the Gansu Traction
Station of the Lanzhou-Xinjiang (Zhangye) Third and Fourth-tier Railways (Lanzhou Section) is Now Operational
The 3G244 Honglai traction II line interval of the 330kV Hongle substation successfully initiated a standard startup and an accurate polarity test at 02:10 on May 22, proceeding to the phase of a 24-hour live commissioning trial run.The successful commissioning of the 330kV external power supply project for the Gansu traction station of the Lanzhou-Xinjiang (Zhangye) Third and Fourth-tier Railways (Lanzhou Section), one month ahead of schedule, signifies a significant milestone. Once electrified, this project will provide robust support to meet the power demand for opening the Lan-zhang Third and Fourth-tier Railways traction station, enhancing high-speed rail power supply reliability and ensuring a strong energy and power guarantee for implementing provincial capital action.
The Lan-zhang Third and Fourth-tier Railways constitute a significant component of the national medium- and long-term railway network planning, as well as the "12th Five-Year Plan" and "13th Five-Year Plan" railway development strategies. This line serves as crucial transportation infrastructure in the Hexi Corridor area of Gansu Province, playing an integral role in the Silk Road Economic Belt's Gansu Golden Section rapid passenger transport corridor.
The Lan-Zhang High-Speed Railway is divided into two sections: one from Lanzhou to Wuwei ,and another one from Wuwei to Zhangye. These sections are connected with three other railways - Lan-Xin High-Speed Railway, Bao-Lan High-Speed Railway, and Yin-Lan High-Speed Railway. Once fully operationalized, this line will become Xinjiang's second major high-speed rail route connecting with Lanzhou after the Lan-Xin High-Speed Railway. Its primary objective is to enhance connectivity between the land bridge corridor and Jing-Lan Corridor while optimizing Gansu Province's Western Region through an improved overall layout for a comprehensive network of fast trains; ultimately facilitating efficient passenger transportation within the Hexi Corridor.
The completion of the Lan-Wu section will significantly reduce the train travel time from Lanzhou to Wuwei, shortening it from over 3 hours to under 2 hours. This achievement holds great importance in enhancing the high-speed railway network layout in the western region and fostering economic and social development along these cities.
The high-speed rail zooming past, electricity serves as a powerful engine. The 330kV External Power Supply Project for the Gansu Traction Station of the Lanzhou-Xinjiang (Zhangye) Third and Fourth-tier Railways (Lanzhou Section) is divided into two sections: the Lanzhou section and the Wuwei section. The Lanzhou section consists of four lines and two substation interval expansion projects. These include the primary and backup lines connecting the 330kV Hongle substation to the Laijiapo traction station in Lanzhou New Area, as well as the two lines connecting the 330kV Yongdeng substation and the 750kV Wusheng substation to the Yongdeng Shizuizi traction station. This project has successfully constructed four circuits spanning a total length of 54.2 kilometers, along with installing 163 new iron towers. Upon completion, it will ensure a stable power supply to the rail network through its dedicated traction station, introduced by State Grid Lanzhou Power Supply Company.
The power supply lines constructed by State Grid Lanzhou Power Supply Company traverse areas with altitudes ranging from 2000 to 2200 meters, encountering hilly and mountainous terrain. The construction environment is characterized by its complexity and challenges. The company promptly established a dedicated project team to address challenging issues, implemented multiple measures to ensure safety and quality, and promote progress. The person in charge personally led the team, supervised the project's progress, established a working mechanism for monthly notification, early warning, and corrective actions. They conducted monthly reviews of the project schedule and identified existing problems, formulated response measures for these issues, collaborated with various participating units of the project to overcome difficulties, and timely supplemented the number of teams. Through continuous optimization of the construction plan and adjustment of the construction sequence, the company made every effort to ensure successful completion of the project.(Mu Lulu,Shi Shuangxuan, He Jinpeng, Huo Xingyun, Wu Yunpeng)
