Gansu Province: Huating City Hosted the 2024 Traditional Chinese Medicine

On the morning of May 7th, Huating City in Pingliang, Gansu Province hosted the 2024 Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Industry Development Forum, where esteemed industry experts were invited to diagnose and provide valuable recommendations for the advancement of the TCM industry in Huating City. The primary objective was to foster its high-quality growth.

The city of Huating is situated at a latitude of 35 degrees north in Pingliang City, Gansu Province, China. It boasts a temperate climate, ample precipitation, and fertile soil, rendering it one of the sixteen prominent medicinal herb counties within Gansu Province. There are 263 species of wild Chinese medicine here, with over 50 species being widely cultivated.

Huating, also known as the “Medicine Cabinet of Eastern Gansu,”is particularly famous for its "Huating Dahuang" and "Huating Duhuo". Both of which have obtained China's Geographical Indication certification.

Experts and scholars delivered keynote speeches at the forum, offering valuable suggestions for promoting the high-quality development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry in Huating City.

Through this forum, Huating City will focus on establishing the development positioning of the "Gansu Eastern Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Cluster Demonstration Base". The relevant personnel will actively draw insights from the successful experiences of other provinces and cities in terms of the strategic positioning of the traditional Chinese medicine industry, brand establishment, and related aspects. Their efforts will be intensified in project planning and attracting leading enterprises, while continuously reinforcing the protection and development of our renowned brands "Huating Dahuang" and "Huating Duhuo".
