2023 Global Key & Core Technology Conference kicked off
in Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone

On November 3, 2023, the 2023 Global Key & Core Technology Conference, centered around "Key & Core Technology · New Productivity," was held at the Xi'an High-tech International Convention Center. The conference shone a spotlight on the construction of the Xi'an Comprehensive National Science Center and Center for Technology Innovation, presenting diverse cases, projects, and achievements in the realm of key and core technological innovation and development.

During the opening ceremony, the achievements of the third anniversary of the construction of the National Key & Core Technology Innovation Demonstration Zone were highlighted, and various measures to accelerate the industrialization of key & core technology in Xi'an, along with major breakthroughs in Xi'an's efforts to promote key & core technology, were unveiled. Additionally, a contract was signed to jointly establish a "double-center" demonstration zone for the integration of universities and institutes in Xi'an.

It's noteworthy to mention that the "Key & Core Technology Breakthrough in Xi'an" was announced during the opening ceremony. This breakthrough encompasses six major fields, including information technology, aerospace technology, new materials, new energy, high-end equipment, and life sciences. Numerous technological achievements were showcased, addressing gaps in domestic capabilities, substituting imports, and overcoming bottlenecks in key and core technologies.

In recent years, Xi'an has been actively strengthening and refining its system for key & core technology development. This entails a seamless progression, starting from supporting research and development of key & core technology, facilitating the smooth transformation of technology, fostering the growth of key and core tech companies, and ultimately constructing robust key and core tech industries. This strategic approach not only aligns with the city's priorities but also provides substantial support, positioning Xi'an as a key contributor to scientific and technological innovation in China.

As a pivotal platform for consolidating key & core technology resources, showcasing achievements, fostering consensus, and facilitating exchanges and collaborations, the 2023 Global Key & Core Technology Conference features five parallel forums. These forums include the "Double Center" Construction Forum, National Key & Core Technology Innovation Demonstration Zone Construction Forum, Foreign Experts Symposium, 2023 Photon Industry Summit and Forum on Transformation of Key and Core Technology Achievements, and the 2023 Technology and Finance Innovation and Development Forum. Additionally, there are five professional forums such as the 24th Annual Online Entrepreneurship Meeting for National Overseas Students, the 2023 Digital Economy New Infrastructure Forum, the 2023 New Energy and Smart Car Summit Forum, 2023 China (Xi'an) Artificial Intelligence Industry Summit, China (Xi'an) Network Security · Metaverse Industry Forum, and the Additive Manufacturing Industry High-Quality Development Forum. Furthermore, during the conference, a number of strategic cooperation plans in the photonic industry were signed, and projects like the Xi'an Pioneer Industry Innovation Center Cluster were unveiled.
