A Cup of Coffee Energizing New Cultural Tourism in Qujiang

Recently, we have welcomed the first cup of internet-famous coffee in this winter.

"Green Pepper Latte", a mellow latte with a verdant pepper, rendered both pepper fans and coffee buffs speechless.

This cup of coffee that even involved vegetable came from a cafe in Shanghai, which also provides a more eye-catching type, "Chili Americano".

Recent years has witnessed a changing landscape of domestic coffee market, where companies are competing to return to the "coffee table", and where many giants in other industries enter the market, with major cities trying their best to build a "coffee economy".

Shanghai, a city hailed as the "Coffee City" and with only an area of more than 6,300 square kilometers, boasts the highest number of cafes at home, where over 8,000 coffee shops cluster there. This amounts to 1.26 shops for each square kilometer.

In Xi'an, the thousand-year-old ancient city, the "concentration" for coffee has been also increasing year by year.

According to the statistics, nearly 60% of coffee-related enterprises in Xi'an were established in the past 5 years, among which almost 2,000 were set up in the past 3 years.

It is worth noting that Qujiang New District, where the welcoming ceremony and banquet of China-Central Asia Summit was held, and where there are lots of young people, is developing its own unique coffee culture by integrating tradition and fashion, quality and popularity.

Unlike the coffee made with audacious innovation from Shanghai, the coffee in Qujiang New District resembles the city itself, launching a dialogue between traditional culture and modern ideas and perfectly combining the core of traditional culture and avant-garde fashion elements.

How "delicate" can a cup of coffee be in Qujiang?

Following a hotel's afternoon tea co-branding Qujiang Scenic Area, the coffee was "named" after the "scenic spot". What surprise can the combination of city wall, coffee and ICEPEAK (a kind of Xi'an local soda) bring to us?

Sea salt pineapple juice frozen into the shape of Dayan Pagoda is blended with sparkling Americano to create a cup of "Stupa". The taste is unfolded as the Dayan Pagoda melts, releasing sweetness after the bitterness, and symbolizing the true meaning of life.

There are many similar combinations of traditional culture and landmark buildings, and a cup of coffee can also be made extremely delicate in Qujiang, which will further release the charm of the city's cultural tourism.

Its root lies in Qujiang's idea of "basing the district on culture". Even for the all-encompassing coffee, Qujiang still adheres to and explore the core of cultural essence, which may be the source of Qujiang's innovation.
