This is How Qujiang Film & TV Tells "Shaanxi Story"

Recent years has witnessed a series of excellent film and television works with profound and fascinating content produced by Qujiang to describe Shaanxi stories and to demonstrate spirits of the time.

Zhuang Tai shows how a group of ordinary people live their life with original scenes in Shaanxi. White Deer Plain unfolds a historical scroll spanning 50 years of Guanzhong, Shaanxi. Nothing Gold Can Stay describes the history and spirits of Shaanxi business group with flesh-and-blood businessmen…

With Shaanxi stories as their core, these film and television works produced by Qujiang Film & TV have won numerous awards in recent years, receiving both quality improvement and reputation.

Setting the Stage won the 27th Magnolia Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and the 16th Best Works Award in Spiritual Civilization Construction "Five One Project" of the Publicity Department of CPC. White Deer Plain won many awards such as "Magnolia Award" and "China TV Golden Eagle Award". Nothing Gold Can Stay was awarded a total of 10 awards at Television Series of China Quality Ceremony, also Shanghai TV Drama Annual Conference , and many other awards like "Flying Apsaras Award" and "China TV Golden Eagle Award"…

Zhang A'li, chairman of Shaanxi Literature and Art Critics Association and dean of Film Academy of Northwest University, said that a majority of the film and television works created in Qujiang New District were centered on Shaanxi culture and history, especially the history of Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang Dynasties. At the same time, some modern works were produced in Qujiang New District to reflect the local culture of contemporary Shaanxi.

Qujiang Film & TV, laden with Shaanxi stories, is driving and leading the "film and television plus cultural tourism". 

In 2017, the presentation of White Deer Plain boosted the tourism in the White Deer Plain Studio City and Bailucang Scenic Area, driving the annual passenger flow of the scenic spots to 2.6 million and 4.28 million respectively. In 2020, the TV drama Zhuang Tai was aired, and the delicious food in it like Roujiamo (Meat burger), sesame sauce cold rice noodles, Oil spill noodles and persimmon cakes, has attracted many tourists. In March of this year, the TV play The Road of Life went viral, making the "Life" Studio City a hit with more than 400,000 tourists so far...

In addition, the TV series The Qin Empire and Tang Paradise, the documentary Daming Palace, Looking for the Ancient, Centennial Guyi Agency, Rites and Music in China, are all attracting more tourists with their radiant charm.

Zhang A'li said that Qujiang New District is a cultural resort and a historical and cultural name card for Xi'an. The film and television industry is one of the configurations and part of the cultural-tourist industry in Qujiang New District . Therefore, these works have played an important role in promoting the development of Shaanxi cultural tourism. 

Zhang A'li introduced that Shaanxi is rich in historical and cultural resources of Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang Dynasties, but the cultural-tourist resources does not equal to the film and television industry, because the industry has its own development laws. For example, in the development of film and television industry, talents, companies and projects should be pooled together to get maximum effects. Qujiang New District has nurtured a leading company in Shaanxi's film and television industry, setting as an example in enhancing the industry's development.

Recently, Qujiang New District became the only one  in Shaanxi Province selected as the construction unit of the National Cultural and Tourism Integration Demonstration Zone, to which, "film and television plus tourism" made a great contribution.
