Japan logs 4.38-bln-USD trade deficit in October

Japan logged a customs-cleared trade deficit of 662.5 billion yen (4.38 billion U.S. dollars) in October, government data showed Thursday.

Japan's exports grew 1.6 percent from a year earlier while imports fell 12.5 percent, the Finance Ministry said in a preliminary report.
