Bafang, with its long history and rich cultural charm, is a true embodiment of ethnic heritage and can be regarded as a small museum of folk culture. Bafang 13 Lanes consist of six horizontal and seven vertical lanes in this area. They are Daga Lane, Yongzheng Lane, Tiejia Lane, Shagaleng Lane, Renyi Lane, Wangsi Lane, Zhuanyuan Lane, Shiqiao Lane, Bakou Lane, Danan Lane, Xiaonan Lane, Xi Lane, and Bei Lane. Here, you can find historical imprints, the pure and authentic culture and customs of the Hui ethnic group, as well as well-preserved 26 classical courtyard houses. The Yellow River National Cultural Park - Hezhou Peony Cultural Park is located in the eastern district of Linxia City, covering an area of 178 acres. Just like the harmonious integration among different ethnic groups in Linxia, these elements come together to create a symbol of national unity, forming a comprehensive exhibition hall of Linxia culture.
The Eastern Suburb Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction that combines sightseeing, tourism, and leisure. It occupies a total area of approximately 290,000 square meters (360 acres). It features a wide variety of trees and plants, including over 120 species and more than 2 million plants, with a green coverage rate of 80%. Conveniently located, it serves as the largest central green space in the eastern district. The park includes attractions such as an artificial lake, flower pergola, water fir pergola, peony garden, and the Hu Tingzhen Martyr Memorial Monument.
The main entrance of the Donggong Mansion is a Western-style building, with different styles of gateways and passage courtyards, each serving a different purpose. The main building of the central courtyard is a three-story, five-roomed structure, supported by twenty-eight towering columns. On both ends, there are two-story corner buildings. To the east, west, and south, there are grand halls with traditional large wooden frames. To the northwest and southwest, there are siheyuans, each consisting of five rooms in all directions. The southwest section serves as the kitchen courtyard. In the outer courtyard, there are a flower-viewing pavilion, a guardhouse, and a carriage yard. Along the pathways within the courtyard, evergreen pine and cypress trees are planted on both sides, providing a green landscape throughout the four seasons.
People's Red Garden is a national AAA-level tourist attraction. The architecture within the garden combines the delicate and elegant style of Jiangnan gardens with the grand and magnificent characteristics of local ethnic buildings in Linxia. The pavilions and towers have unique designs with upturned eaves and exquisite brick and wood carvings, showcasing superb craftsmanship that is renowned throughout both north and south.
