South Korea RONDA Semiconductor Project Landed in Xi'an High-tech Industries
Development Zone (XDZ)
On March 22, XDZ held a signing ceremony with South Korea RONDA Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as RONDA). RONDA Core Precision Parts Manufacturing Project launched by RONDA Materials (Xi'an) Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary invested by RONDA, officially landed in the zone.
The project, as another one that goes into operation upon signing in XDZ, mainly produces consumables such as silicon electrodes, insulating parts and heat conduction parts, RF transmitter parts, and sealing rings for advanced semiconductor core precision etching.
The project, with a total investment of not less than 300 million yuan, will be constructed in two phases. The first phase mainly builds the R&D and production test line of semiconductor silicon consumables products, which will be put into production in October this year. The second will build a R&D and production base for semiconductor silicon consumables, which is expected to start operation in 2025. After the project reached the designed production capacity, its annual revenue is expected to hit 460 million yuan.
Notably, Wen Bingshu, CEO of RONDA, is also the investment promotion ambassador of XDZ. He said that the implementation of the project will bring the integrated circuit industry of the zone to a new scale and level, and inject stronger dynamic energy into the economic and social development of the zone.
